GRAZ University Summer School 2011

The call for the Graz University Summer School (GUSS), ”International Summer School on the Americas” at Seggau Castle (near Graz, Austria) has opened:

·       GUSS – “International Summer School on the Americas”, July 17th – 31st 2011 at Seggau Castle
The Summer School offers a platform to students and teachers from international universities to engage in the interdisciplinary analysis of new conceptual approaches for a redefinition of the Americas in times of worldwide globalization. The discursive and symbolic constructions of the Americas are investigated from the vantage points of politics, history, law, literature, sustainability, film, gender, culture, and Jewish Studies , thus contributing to the newly emerging field of “Inter-American Studies” in Europe.
            The Graz University Summer School is also designed to be integrated into the curricula of Joint Degree programs on master level.

In addition to the Graz University Summer School, the University of Graz also offers the International Summer School Seggau to students:

·       International Summer School Seggau, July 2nd  - 16th, 2011 at Seggau Castle
This international summer school concentrates on the overall topic “US Europe: Towards a Multicultural Continent”. Students can apply for one of the following seminars:
Law & Politics, Economy & Innovation, History & Power, Society & Culture, Ethics & Religion, Media & Communication.
